ROOFING PROCESS
The “Stress-Less” Roofing Process:
1. Inspections
In order to maintain the integrity of a healthy roof, it is imperative to have it inspected on a regular basis. Once a roof is 10-years old, annual inspections are recommended in order to identify roofing issues before they become problems. Call us today for a free 20-point inspection to determine the overall health and life expectancy of your roofing system!

2. Estimating and/or Insurance Process
Once your inspection has been completed our roofing professional will provide you with an honest assessment as to what needs to be done – at no cost to you. We will provide you with an estimate for repairs or replacement; however, the vast majority of roofs that we inspect are paid for by the client’s insurance policy due to insurable damage incurred during a storm. If verifiable damage is found on your roof, the next step will be to file a claim with your insurance company.

Our roofing professional will gladly assist you in calling in the claim and facilitate the insurance company with any questions that they might have. We will put together a forensic report of damages and provide you with support from the very beginning of your claim process. Don’t be intimidated by your insurance company, we are here to help.

3. Meeting with the Insurance Company’s Adjuster
After filing a claim, your insurance company will assign an adjuster and a date to perform an on-site inspection. Our roofing professional will ALWAYS be at adjuster inspections in order to ensure that your damage is identified and recorded properly. The adjuster is there to protect the insurance company; therefore, we are there to protect your interests.

Once your claim is approved, the adjuster will put together an estimate of items that need to be replaced. It is our job to verify that each aspect required to complete your project is accurately documented in this estimate. We will submit a supplemental scope of work to your insurance company, using industry standard software, that will include any missing items necessary to execute your project properly. Supplements are customary in the insurance process and are often paid once the job is complete. Supplemental items often include local building code requirements, overlooked roofing elements and incidentals associated with a job. We want to hold the insurance company accountable for what you are rightly owed within your insurance policy.

4. Property Owner Preparation
Now that your insurance claim has been approved, it is time to review the work that will be completed, select the products and colors that will be used and schedule your job on our production calendar. The ACV (actual cash value), RCV (real cash value) and supplemental payments that you receive from your insurance company will cover our costs to complete your job. You will only be responsible for paying your deductible and any upgrades that you want included in your roof system that your insurance company will not cover. Once you receive your initial ACV check from your insurance company, your project is ready to go to production.

5. Project Execution
Our vendors will typically deliver the materials for your job on the morning of the build. We strive to complete the replacement of an entire roof system in one day; however, our main goal is to provide a first-rate finished product that reflects our attention to detail and precise craftsmanship. In order to assure that OSHA laws, building code ordinances and proper safety protocols are followed, a Berrong Construction project manager or roofing professional will be on-site throughout the day to relieve any of your stress or concerns. Once a project is completed, a walkthrough will take place to assure that everything has been completed to your satisfaction.

A certificate of completion will be executed and sent to your insurance company in order to have the remaining recoverable depreciation and supplemental payments issued. Ultimately, we aim to have your insurance claim closed and paid in full within 30-days of our initial meeting.
