No, your insurance company might have a preferred vendor list of contractors that they work closely with but your coverage is not contingent upon choosing one of these companies.  A contractor endorsed by the insurance company may be hesitant to oppose the recommendations of the insurance company for fear of jeopardizing their relationship. At Berrong Construction, we focus on returning your property to its pre-loss condition and while keeping your best interest in mind.

First, always reach out to a trusted contractor who has experience in this specific trade.  Berrong can not only provide a preliminary evaluation and assessment, but also provide a cost analysis based on your individual situation.  Second, if damage is prevalent and a cost analysis has been completed, you will know if it makes sense to alert your insurance carrier.  As you know, property insurance provides financial reimbursement in the event of damage; if your property is damaged and it makes financial sense to make a claim, file the claim.  Berrong can help you assess if your situation makes sense to do so.
